We all go through life using little tools such as lighters and the money clip. Here are a few facts about these useful little tools that we love so much.

Lighters
• The first lighters were invented in the 16th century, using a convert flintlock pistol.
• Zippo lighters were invented in 1932 and was backed with a lifetime guarantee and marketed as being “wind proof”.”
• In the 1950s, the fuel source used for lighters was switched from naphtha to butane.
• 1965 led to Bic inventing their disposable lighters and in 1998 the first childproof lighters came into existence.

Money Clips
• The money clip was invented with the invention of paper money, which came from the Chinese in the 7th century.
• The money clip is safer to use than a traditional wallet because it is generally carried in the front pocket, also reducing the butt bump on the rear.
• A money clip is lighter, smaller, and can be personalized with engraving.
• The money clip is much cheaper than the wallet; you can have more of them for a different look every time.
• The money clip carries more than just paper money but will carry your ID and credit cards as well.
